The University of Ottawa released two landmark studies this week that are likely to shake public perceptions of common human behaviours. The second study inexplicably unreported in the media was no less fascinating or culturally ificant.
Reversing all preconceived notions, the research found no distinction in pleasure taken at restaurants between a control group of those who had ordinary kitchens and those who possessed high-end kitchens. The University of Ottawa is to be commended on its responsible use of public funds in tackling neglected areas of research, whose findings will provoke discussion in the public forum and enrich the lives of all Canadians.
